Find your ST bus's live location, step by step

Takes under a minute the first time, seconds after that. Here's exactly how, and what to check if the bus doesn't show up.

By number plate

1. Find the plate written on the bus — for example GJ-18-ZT-1028.
2. Open tracker.shivrajsinh.in.
3. Type the plate into the search box and press Track.
4. The live map opens: current position, speed, the stop it just passed, the one it's heading to, and its distance from you.

By route, if you don't know the plate

1. Open the Routes screen and enter the two stations you're travelling between.
2. You'll see every scheduled and running service on that pair, with live countdowns for buses already on the road.
3. Pick any one to open its live location the same way.

What the map is actually telling you

• Position — where the bus's GPS says it is right now, refreshed roughly every 20 seconds.
• Speed — smoothed from recent positions, not an instant reading.
• Next stop — the stop the bus is heading to, from the operator's own trip data when available.
• Distance from you — shown once you allow location access. The app also records a position fix under your install's random ID for up to 60 days; see the privacy policy.

If the bus doesn't show up

This is normal, not a fault, in three common cases:

• Not started yet. The operator only reports a position once a bus actually begins its trip — a bus still at the depot has nothing to show.
• Already finished. Once a trip ends, the bus disappears from live tracking until its next run.
• A typo in the plate. GSRTC plates follow a strict format; small punctuation differences are corrected automatically, but a wrong digit won't match.

Skip the checking — get an alert instead

Once the map is open, pick the stop you're waiting at and turn on an arrival alert. Your phone tells you when the bus is close, so you can stay where you are until it's actually worth walking out.
