GSRTC tracker: what it is, and how to actually use one

"GSRTC tracker" is what most people search for when their bus is late and they want to know where it actually is. Here's what that phrase covers, what a tracker can and can't tell you, and how to try one right now.

What "GSRTC tracker" means

GSRTC — Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation — runs the ST (State Transport) buses that connect almost every town and village in Gujarat. A GSRTC tracker is any tool that shows where one of those buses is right now, usually on a map, by reading the GPS position the operator's own systems already collect from the bus.

That covers a few different things in practice: the operator's own tracking page, the official GSRTC app, and independent tools like this one that read the same public position data and present it differently. None of them invent the bus's position — they all show the same GPS fix, refreshed every few seconds while the bus is on a trip.

GSRTC tracker vs. the official app

The official GSRTC app is run by the operator and is the authoritative source for tickets, PNR status and reservations. ST Tracker doesn't compete with that — it exists for the narrower, more frequent job of "where is my bus right now", done as fast as possible with nothing to sign into.

How to track a GSRTC bus right now

1. Find the number plate written on the front or side of the bus — for example GJ-18-ZT-1028.
2. Open tracker.shivrajsinh.in and type it into the search box.
3. The live map opens with the bus's current position, its speed, the stop it just passed, and how far it is from you.
