Get an alert before your GSRTC bus arrives
Pick the stop you’re waiting at, and your phone tells you when the bus is close — no need to keep the map open.
Open the appFree, no account. Search by route if you do not have a bus number.
Setting one up
- Open a bus's live map, or a route's departure list.
- Pick the stop you're waiting at from the route.
- Turn on the alert. Your browser or phone will ask permission to send notifications the first time.
The alert fires shortly before the bus reaches that stop, based on its live position — not on the schedule, so it still works when the bus is running early or late.
On iPhone
Safari can deliver notifications from a website, but only once it's been added to the home screen — open the app in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and set the alert from there.

Do arrival alerts need an account?
No. There is no account anywhere in the app — the alert is tied to your browser’s notification permission, not an identity.
Why aren’t I getting alerts on iPhone?
iOS only allows web notifications for a site added to the home screen. Open the app in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and set the alert again from there.
Is the alert based on the schedule or the live position?
The live position, so it still fires at the right time whether the bus is early, on time, or late.
