GSRTC parcel & courier service: rates, counters and tracking

Same-day intercity cargo on Gujarat ST buses

GSRTC operates an extensive counter-to-counter courier and logistics service across more than 125 bus depots in Gujarat. Because packages travel aboard scheduled passenger buses departing round the clock, shipments typically arrive at destination bus stands within 3 to 8 hours — far faster than conventional overnight private courier networks.

How to book a parcel at the bus stand

1. Bring your securely packaged parcel to the designated GSRTC Courier & Parcel Counter at your nearest ST depot.
2. The counter clerk weighs the parcel, verifies declared contents, and generates a computerised Consignment Note (CN) receipt.
3. An SMS notification with consignment details and OTP is transmitted to both the sender and recipient mobile numbers.
4. The recipient visits the parcel counter at the destination depot, presents the CN receipt or SMS OTP with valid photo ID, and collects the parcel upon bus arrival.

Weight slabs and pricing guidelines

GSRTC parcel charges are structured in weight slabs (starting from documents under 250 grams up to heavy commercial cartons in 10 kg increments) and distance tiers. Tariffs are heavily subsidized compared to air or private surface couriers.

Tracking buses carrying your consignment

Once your parcel is assigned to a specific scheduled departure, you can monitor that bus’s real-time journey on ST Tracker. View GPS coordinates and arrival countdowns to time your depot pickup perfectly.
